Signing for lifeboats
AUTHOR Abrielle Jones will be signing copies of her self-help book The Time Workshop to raise money for the RNLI at this weekend's Pennard Carnival.    She will be stationed at the lifeboat stall from 1pm and 4.30pm on Saturday*, and £1.50 from the sale of each book with go [to] the life-saving organisation. The three-day Gower carnival kicks off at 7.30pm tomorrow* with a concert by Dunvant Male Voice Choir.	N.B.  In the  Newspaper article, it was stated that the author would be at the lifeboat stall on   'Sunday'.   This, I believe should  have been Saturday which is what I have inserted instead,  -  whilst for 'tomorrow', read Friday (18 July).

Choir are 'in-tent' on success
	DUNVANT  Male Voice Choir will sing at Pennard  Carnival next week.      Their   new   music  team  will play  at  An  Event  in  a  Tent   at Pennard  Playing   Fields  on the Friday,    starting     at     7.30pm.       The concert will feature musi- cal director Jonathan Rogers and accompanist  Richard  John.    The choir are  hoping  the  tent-		ed  concert  will  stand  them  in good stead for their entry to  the chief male choral competition at Cardiff's  National Eisteddfod on Saturday,  August  9.    Major events this year include the    annual   patrons'   concert with  international  star Sir  Wil- lard  White  at Swansea's Bran- gwyn Hall on Friday, October 3.    The  choir  will  also appear at		the   London  Welsh  Festival  of Male Choirs at the  Royal Albert Hall,  London, on October 18.    The  choir  are  on  the lookout for new singers.  Rehearsals are held  at  Ysgol Gyfun Gwyr, Gowerton,  on   a  Monday,  and Thursday  from  7pm to 9pm. 	Summer fun at carnival
	A  SUMMERY  mix  of  music,  al   fresco beer, a pig roast and a procession takes place     at     next     month's      Pennard Carnival.    The  three-day  event  in  Gower  kicks off   on   July   18   with   a    concert    by Dunvant  Male  Voice  Choir  at  7.30pm.    The  following   day,   a  carnival   band		strikes up  shortly  after  noon,  with the procession  starting  at  1pm.    Later  that  evening  more  live music comes from the Mud Skippers and the Dave  Cottle  Band.    A   Sunday  morning   church  service takes  place   on   the  village's  playing fields  at  10.30am.
