 Pennard Carnival 2008
Before you look through the Photo Gallery, do please spare a thought for, and be very grateful to, the background 'boys' and 'girls' who worked for months to make this year's Carnival yet another fantastic event. Building on the successes of previous years, the team did a wonderful job, and are to be congratulated for making this year's Carnival day such a resounding success. Thanks are also due to the Police for controlling the traffic so admirably!

2008 PENNARD CARNIVAL PARADE (Saturday 19 July)
Were you there? Did you see all the lovely floats and the fantastic participants, and weren't they all so colourfully dressed and enjoying themselves. Thank goodness that apart from one short shower around lunchtime, the rest of the day was sunny, and that there were lots of villagers, holidaymakers and more to cheer everyone along the route. 2008 PENNARD CARNIVAL FIELD (Saturday 19 July)
Well, I don't think that I'd seen so many at the Carnival field for quite a long while, and from what I did see, everyone was enjoying themselves. The sun shone, kids were running around, dogs were behaving, ice-creams were everywhere, the bouncy castle and donkeys had long queues waiting, everyone cheered at the right moment for the Floats, the Saxons, the birds of prey, the dogs, and the juggler.
